Where are you seeing that TurboTax says your refund has been issued? TurboTax never knows if the IRS has issued your refund. TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2022 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

OR——if you filed by mail, expect a long wait. It is taking the very backlogged IRS six to nine months to process mailed returns. Until a human opens your envelope and enters the data into the system, nothing will even show up on the refund site, so you will have to be very patient.
If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund earlier than late February.

@stev495598 Well----then that "virtual assistant" is a marketing thing. TT really never knows when your refund will be issued. Your source of information is the IRS. If you are subject to PATH--you wait it out. Sorry.

Did you get your refund yet? Mine is doing the same thing today. Any changes on your end?
No! Nothing yet still waiting but I’m cycle 05 so I normally update on Friday’s so probably tomorrow
Some returns take longer to process for different reasons as everyone's tax situation is not the same. Turbo Tax will not have a status on your refund. If the IRS website says processing, this means they are working on it.

@Roadhouseee
It says the same thing to me too, have you gotten your refund yet?
Did you ever get your refund? We got the same message In the chat box and after digging through tons of community questions and articles have realized it’s very misleading and means nothing.
Did you pay your fees out of your refund? If so your refund would be sent from the IRS to TPG so Turbo Tax can deduct the fees. Once the fees are deducted, they will be sent to your bank. You can track the refund with TPG here. @Chase0022 @davidmier19
TPG gives no info besides my ammount I'm expected to get back and that it is not yet funded. No other info at all...
That didn't help, unfortunately.
So now what? How come turbo tax says in the automatic chat response that it has been accepted and issued?
@Chase0022 TurboTax does not ever know if your refund has been issued, so whatever you think you are seeing on TurboTax can be disregarded. Only the IRS can tell you if your refund has been issued. The IRS does not tell TurboTax when or even if your refund has been issued. The most reliable source of information is the IRS refund site.

Have you checked your refund on the IRS website? As they are the most accurate way to track the refund. @Shakazooloo
I received an email from Turbo Tax congratulating me because my refund is on the way.

That was a marketing email that should have never been sent.
Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
If accepted by the IRS use the federal tax refund website to check the refund status - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
If accepted by the state use this TurboTax support FAQ to check the state tax refund status - https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899433-how-do-i-track-my-state-refund
The IRS site Where's My Refund? is the most accurate source for tracking your refund. If it says 'processing' your refund has not been sent to your bank yet.
If you chose to pay TurboTax from your Refund, your actual refund will be less than on your return, as the intermediate bank charges a fee for handling the payment to TurboTax from your refund ($40).
Mine says it arrived today but the date on turbo says 2/21/25 and it's says approved but not sent yet expected to arrive today.
While you do get a date from the Internal Revenue Service as to when your refund should be available, they do not specify exact times. If you have a deposit date of today and have not received your refund yet, be patient.
There are no fixed times or hours when you can receive your 2024 tax refund during the 2025 Tax Season.
Additionally, each bank varies on when they post direct deposits. Even if your bank "usually" posts direct deposits at a certain time, they may handle Tax Refunds differently. Some banks might post once in the morning and once in the afternoon, only one time a day, and some may instantly.
In the Community, we do not have access to your TurboTax account and can not tell you where your refund is or why you do not have your deposit yet.
If your refund date has passed and you have not received your refund, it may be that your direct deposit, for a variety of reasons, was not able to be completed and your refund is coming as a paper check to the address on your return.
