Fed Return rejected due to AGI entered for last year not matching - But I double checked and it matches exactly

My federal return was rejected - stated reason is 'AGI doesn't match what the IRS has in their database'.   I double checked, because I filed it last year, and the number matches exactly with what I have.   Not sure what I should do now, other than file manually.

For AGI Reject code 031
https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/e-file-reject-ind-031-04-or-ind-032-04-the-agi-or-self-select-pin-from-last-year-doesn-t-match-irs/00/27197

When did you file 2018? If it was late in the year try putting in zero for the AGI. And see, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-getting-an-e-file-reject/00/27031

If your spouse died during 2019 there is a problem efiling and you will have to mail your return

How to correct the AGI

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.

I had to do an amended return last year because of a mistake I made on my 2021 tax. Would the AGI number be different on that form than the amended return I finally sent in? Could that be the reason I'm continually being rejected? Thanks Keith

You must use the AGI from the original filing ... it is the figure from the 1040X column A ... line 1.
