Why am I being charged to e-file?

It sounds like there is already another charge on your account for filing. I can tell you the 34.99 is a service fee for wanting to have the payment for TurboTax taken out of your return.

To check what you're being charged for, simply sign in to your account and Take me to my return, then at the top, click the drop-down menu labeled My Account. Following that, click on Tools, and then the blue box labeled My Fees
