Which address to use?

Hello!

I lived in the US till early Oct on a work visa. I am back in my home country.

Mail sent to the address on file with IRS is forwarded to a friend.

On the Tax form, I have mentioned this address.  Is that ok? I don't know what other address to use here.

Thank you for your time.

Yes, it is okay to use a friend's address for your mail.  It is also okay to list your foreign address, if that is your preference.  The IRS will send correspondence to foreign addresses.  However, many taxpayers find that mail is not reliable or they cannot list enough of their complete address on the forms for mail to be delivered.
