Sometimes the state will make changes to your return, you will receive a notice in the mail. You can also contact the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue but expect a long wait time:

I had the same automated message on their phone system last year, as well as again this year. last year it was an ERROR on their end and no changes were actually made to my refund. Last year as well, their website was NOT updating. As of today I have the same automated message but on their wmr it states that my account is being updated and to please allow 8 to 10 weeks to receive my refund. why it says 8 to 10 weeks, I am unsure! I efiled and opted for direct deposit. I will be calling them today to verify that my refund was NOT changed or figure out, if it was, why!!!

Please note that how much you pay TurboTax and whether or not you did direct deposit has no bearing on whether or not Pennsylvania adjusts your return.

It is up to the state to decide if it wants to adjust your return and when it will notify you.

Once the return has been accepted by the state, TurboTax no longer has any influence on the process.

How long, after your return was accepted, did it take to get your refund last year?

This is an older thread with the last response being in 2020; however, each return is different and the timeframes for refunds can vary greatly. You may track your PA refund by following the steps listed here @wbepps122.
