To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on View order details

If you have any type of billing issue you have to contact TurboTax support during business hours.

Support is open from 5am to 5pm Pacific time, Monday thru Friday

Paying your TurboTax account fees does not file a tax return.

 

Did you e-file your tax return and was it accepted?

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

 

If the status of the 2018 tax return is anything other than

Accepted

then the tax return was not e-filed.  

If you did not print and mail the federal tax return then the return was never filed.

A 2018 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.

Print, sign, date and mail the tax return to the IRS.  Include with the mailed return any forms W-2 and 1099 which have taxes withheld.  Go to this IRS website for mailing addresses - https://www.irs.gov/filing/where-to-file-paper-tax-returns-with-or-without-a-payment

There are no penalties for filing a tax return after the due date if filing for a tax refund or there are no taxes owed.

Paying the fees does not file the return or guarantee it is Accepted.  You had to continue on and hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button.  If you did efile then maybe it Rejected.

 

 When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. 

 

When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc.  what does it say?

I signed up for Advantage after doing my taxes last year.  I received an order confirmation in November of 2019.  The email does not contain an order number and the CD never arrived.  I have contacted Customer support several times and they cannot seem to find my order number or my license number.  When I try to get a refund the site states that the time limit to get a refund has past. I have spent more than 8 hours on the phone and online trying to resolve this issue, but it is like a revolving door.  I suspect there are many people stuck in this mess because they do not supply the order number in the email, but you need it to resolve the issue.

I called the first part of January. I had not received my order. I was told they would send the order again. On January 16 the called again, no order received. They said my shipping address was wrong. Corrected address. THEY WOULD RESEND ORDER.....STILL NO ORDER HAS BE RECEIVED. PLEASE SEND ORDER TO

I have ordered and paid for form 1040 for 2020 and  form 1041 (small business) for 2020.

Date charged 11/4/2020 $230 and 11/5/2020 for $230 and 11/20/2020 Credit 230.

I have received the business form but not 1040.

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Checked the spam folder. Nothing there. The message with confirmation number was accidentally deleted before I could download the MD State tax software. I can rebuy the software if the credit card is not charged
