I paid for my turbo tax, why isn't direct debit option available for the tax I owed federal and CA

I paid for my turbo tax, why isn't direct debit option available for the tax I owed federal and CA? I will be paying 1% penalty of the tax I owed to CA if I have to mail by check, which was the only option.

You won't see a direct debit option in TurboTax if you owe IRS taxes and are paper-filing, but you can use the IRS's Direct Pay service, which lets you pay your taxes directly out of your checking or savings account—just like direct debit.

It turns out I can't efile yet because Turbotax don't have the forms (2210) ready yet.

I have the same issue: I owe Federal but have a refund from NYS but I cannot direct debit from my account. It said I must e-file to have this option. And I want to e-file, I don’t know how to make it withdraw from my bank account. Some advice said I should try to log out then sign in and add a state but I could not find a sign in menu from my desktop version of turbo tax. Please help!!!

It sounds like you may have accidently selected the file by mail option. To change this please follow these steps in this TurboTax FAQHow do I change from mail to e-file in TurboTax Online?
