Are you trying to log into your TurboTax Online account? If so, refer to the following Help Article if you've forgotten your password: Forgot your TurboTax Online User ID or password?
If you're referring to your password protected tax file saved to your computer, TurboTax can't assist in unlocking the file or removing the encryption. If you can't remember your password or answer to the security question, you'll need to start over in a new file. Reference: How do I access my password protected TurboTax Desktop file if I forgot the password?
I am trying to open the file that is password protected but Turbo Tax is not providing a SECURITY question even though it says to answer the security question. I didn't have this issue with the 2018 Return I amended as you provided a security question. (I have seen other users having this same question.) Appreciate your help in providing the security question.
