I have Turbotax Deluxe desktop and cannot update the software so that I can do the state tax return. How do I remove the state from the return and reinstall it? The remove state is not working on the program.
Try downloading your state again (if purchased separately) or downloading it again through your TurboTax Windows or Mac program.

I am having same issues with TT deluxe . I see free state NJ as download . But I already bought NJ as paid . So I want to make NY as free state and NJ as paid so that I don’t get charged twice . I tried removing state return and resinstalling TT deluxe but it keeps showing NJ as free download and I cannot remove it either . Need a solution on this . Why TurboTax is deciding the free state . I can remove one and pay for another . I am totally stuck . Need attention from TT on this one . This is unnecessary blocking me
Yesterday before posting this issue on this community, I spent 30 mins with Turbo Tax customer service with share screen session. It did not go anywhere . Somehow I was disconnected on the phone while share screen was still ON , Nobody bothered to reach out . Got an email for a feedback about the resolution . I explained what happened . I am not sure by calling customer service number will help . It will add another 30 mins to explain the issue and get hung up again. I am totallydisappointed . Unless someone gives me direct person to reach out who understands the issue I am facing and not waste my and his valuable time . Any resolution appreciated.
