The IP PIN (Identity Protection PIN) is a 6-digit number while the e-filing PIN is a 5-digit number. The 5-digit e-filing PIN does not change year to year unless you take physical action to change it.
The 6-digit IP PIN *does* change every year. The IRS mails the new IP PIN every year in the late December to early January timeframe, to the address listed on the last tax return filed. If you did not receive your IP PIN in the mail for any reason (including you moved and did not notify the IRS of your change of address) then see https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/retrieve-your-ip-pin for the options available to you.
Please see the TurboTax FAQ: How do I get my 6-digit IP PIN? for assistance with your IP Pin number.
The IRS has eliminated the use of a PIN to e-file your 2019 tax return. To verify your identity for e-filing will use last year's adjusted gross income (AGI) as your PIN.
You can get a copy of your 2018 tax return, from TurboTax it will have your AGI. Follow these steps to get a copy of your prior-year tax return.

Try 2 ways , one way will be to open the last year return and look into the froms information page 4 and you will find last year 5 digits personal pin there , if that’s not possible then go to the irs website and sign in to get the identity protection pin 6 digits ( the process is very fast you do it yourself and they assign you a 6 digits pin immediately) then after you finish your taxes you will have to enter manually in the form on the right hand side up you can see forms
go to info Wks and look for the line to write your 6 digits identity protection pin .
Notes : On the 5 digits pin used the previous one if you found it if not use a different they will go by the new 6 digits pin you obtain online.
good luck , I got it done that way .
Be careful not to confuse the two types of PIN numbers in your return:

I'm tryna get my ip pin number how can yall help me I ain't file 2018 or 2019
You need to contact the IRS for assistance with this as they are the only agency that issues IP PIN's.
See the following link as there is a website you can use to obtain your IP PIN.
@G81 Check all the correspondence you may have received from the IRS in the past 6 months. One of the letters will be your notification of your IP PIN for this year. TurboTax does not issue this number. If you cannot find the number, please see the post directly above yours, in which @JotikaT2 provides the link where you can verify your IP PIN for 2020.
If you are talking about the 5-digit self-selected PIN, that is something different. That would be on your Form 8879 from last year, 2019. You would be able to find that if you have access to your 2019 return.
