Yes, you can efile today.

You have until midnight April 15 to file without penalty or interest if you owe.

You can file for an extension to FILE, but you will still have to pay your best reasonable guess of what you will owe.

The extension simply provides you with more time to file  --it does not provide additional time to pay.
