Advertising Expenses

If I wanted to offer someone a complimentary service for the purposes of promotion to potential clients, would I be able to claim the fee for this service that I would have made as an advertising fee? I am self-employed in Canada and I use intuit for self employed

A promotion expense is a cost companies incur to market their products or services to consumers. If you had no cost there is no deduction. I don’t know Canadian tax law.
