TTax update fails after I installed the manual update w_perrelsuperpatchIS_ttax_[phone number removed]. This continuous failure prevents ttax from opening since it requires the "check for updates" every time and cannot be bypassed. In addition, when I execute the original file I downloaded in February to repair or uninstall, that no longer executes after the superpatch as well. I'm stuck and need to file my taxes but cannot now that TTax won't launch and I can't uninstall it with the original download.

There is no 2023 update. The current TurboTax software is for 2022 tax returns. The CD/Download TurboTax software for 2023 will not be available until November 2023.
Are you using TurboTax in Windows? The manual update is only for Windows.
What exactly do you mean by "update fails"? What happens when you try to install the updates? If you get an error message, what is the entire exact message, word for word? When I installed the most recent update it appeared to be looping. The progress bar, the percentage complete, and the minutes remaining kept jumping back and forth. Is that what's happening? If so, just let it run for a while. It will eventually finish.
We can't see what manual update you installed, because the privacy filter in the forum software removes the numbers in the file name. The manual update link on the web site is not up-to-date. Here is a link to the most recent manual update, as of today, July 4, 2023. Try downloading and running this. But if the regular online update completes, you do not need the manual update.

Troubleshoot TurboTax for Windows updating issues
If none of this helps, contact TurboTax support tomorrow for help. (I'm sure they're closed today for the holiday.)
if you are using windows desktop version sometimes updates and patches fail because there is something corrupt. One thread suggests complete uninstallation of the app followed by a shutdown and reboot and then reinstallation form the download or CD. assuming you're talking about updates in 2023 for the 2022 app.
does your computer meet minimum system requirements for the desktop app?
Also ... any uninstalled OS updates will mess with the program ... so check for and install any OS updates then reboot the computer at least twice to make sure everything gets installed properly. Then try the TT program again ... you may need to fdo a manual update again.
