2019 State tax return not populating from my federal return

I did my federal tax return today and then downloaded the Arkansas State return and started it, but it is not populating from my federal return.

It may be populating without you realizing it. You can see a summary of your state return while in your state program in TurboTax by following these steps:

 

1. Find the "Tax Tools" option on your left menu bar and click on it

2. Click on "Tools"

3. Click on "View Tax Summary"

 

If there is nothing populated on the state tax summary, you may need to delete the state return and start it over.

I looked at a copy of the state return prior to my posting and it only showed one W-2 not my wife's W-2 or my 1099-R.  Ultimately, I saved my work, exited the program and next time I restarted TurboTax everything populated as it should.  Thanks

I'm using Turbo Tax Home and business. I bought the suite with the state. The state NY shows up but no data is populating. I even bought the state again but it says the state is up to date but it doesn't populate, I uninstall and reinstalled and nothing seems to work. Please help!!

Whew!  Glad it worked.  Thanks for posting back and letting me know.  Did you pay for the state program?  You should ask for a refund.
