Do I pay registration fees every year or only when I purchase my car?

You likely pay them every year when you renew the tag/registration. Deduct the value based fees under the car registration fees section.

• In your open return, select My Account
• Tools
• Topic Search
• Type 'car registration fees' in the box, then select GO

TurboTax is saying my FL tag registration is base on value, which it's not.  Can I deduct taxes based on weight? This is how OC Florida determines their tag registration fees/taxes

Florida vehicle registration fees are not based on the value of the vehicle.  Therefore the Florida vehicle registration fees are not deductible on a Federal tax return.
