Question

Help- I keep getting this page "Improvements or replacements installed for enabling property" that lists various items like windows and central AC but won't let me skip.

We added solar panels only. I said "no" to the option just before this page, but it won't let me past without selecting an item we added when we didn't add any of them.

Can you try deleting the form and re-entering the information?

To delete the form:

1. Open or continue your return.
2. Select the Jump to link in the search results to get to the summary screen (Energy Efficient Home Improvements )
3.From here, you can select the trash can icon to delete.

I have the same problem. Every time I try to delete the form by saying "no" on the header page you mentioned, when I go back to say "yes" and enter the credits I'm claiming, the check box on enabling property is still checked (I didn't make enabling property changes this year) and I can't uncheck it (it won't let me leave the screen when I try). I also tried saying no to the "enabling property" initial question and go back to that screen again later, it's still checked and flagged as an error. Entering 0 for the value of it also doesn't work. My return has been rejected by the IRS because of this.

I got help! I called TurboTax directly and spoke with somebody. It took a few people but I finally got an answer. I tried to do the deletion of the form, and it didn’t do anything I ran into the same problem, so they said to check one of the water heater boxes, either if you have electric or gas, and then put zeros in for the amount. Then at the very end, it came back and asked me to make two corrections, and I was able to uncheck the box at that point and remove the zeros in order to submit my form without them. Both my federal and state were accepted. I hope this helps!

I tried this but it didn't work for me.  You can't uncheck the box in the last step indicated here.  TurboTax needs to fix this glitch.
