Non resident state return

Undergraduate daughter who lives with us in IL had TN wage income last year while at school but paid no TN taxes. This year Turbotax is requesting that I file TN return and wants to charge me for it. Do I need to pay TN taxes? Or is there a glitch in Turbotax?

TENNESSEE TN does not have a personal income tax. It has a flat rate “Hall Tax” on interest and dividends.

Thank you. I did come across that information and I agree with you. I don't know why Turbotax is tripping me up? There was no problem last year. I have had a preparer doing my taxes the last few years, but I am filing them myself this year. I am trying to see what "switch" I flipped causing this error.

😀Owning my glitch, now cleared up. I set a yes to daughter wage income in TN, when I didn't need to. Again, thanks for support.
