Question

Do I need to amend

Hi,

My 2017 taxes were accepted, however, one of the states (NJ) did not pay me a refund. I've checked the NJ Taxation site, and there does not appear to have information on the refund. Do I need to amend my return?

Do they indicate that they RECEIVED the tax return?  If they did you may need to contact them directly to make sure the refund was issued.

"and there does not appear to have information on the refund."

NJ refund status page doesn't go that far back (2017).

You don't amend, you submit the return again

(But you're not supposed to do that without contacting NJ first).
