Can a 2021 return be amended to correct / remove the form 5695? It should have been done in 2022. No refund was given as the form was done incorrectly also.
Yes, you can amend to remove the solar credit in 2021. You should claim the solar credit in the year that the system was placed in service - meaning installed and producing energy.
