For very small cryptocurrency unit amounts (like 0.00007222), the IRS requires rounding of monetary amounts to whole dollars on Form 8949, but not the actual quantity. Since Form 8949 focuses on financial details (proceeds and cost basis), you don't need to report the exact quantity precisely. Entering "Various" instead of the fraction number for the quantity is acceptable as long as the dollar amounts are correctly rounded.

In TurboTax, enter your transactions with the rounded dollar amounts for proceeds and cost basis. The quantity field, if available, can be approximate since the IRS bases taxes on the dollar value, not the exact fraction of a crypto unit.
