It asks for the FEIN # ... It is foreign (Canada) and there isn't one. When the system checks for issues at the end, it brings this up as an item that needs to be reviewed.
@CW36 You should be able to Continue past this in Review.

Your steps did not help me at all. Followed all your steps; however, I do not have any of the Box numbers that come up in TurboTax. On my NR4 Computershare form, the only boxes I have dollars are Box 16 Gross Income and Box 17 Non-resident tax withheld. I haven't a clue where to enter this information. And, this is in Line 1: Box 14, Income Code 09. WHERE DO I ENTER THIS IN TURBOTAX?
Hello pmissabe,
Did you ever get a response to your question below and did you ever figure out how to report the Canadian NR4 code 09? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
SK
@sam_khader Code 9 is for foreign dividends. First, convert the Canadian dollars to US dollars.
Then go to the "Wages and Income" section and open a form 1099-DIV and follow the instructions.
Then - if you have paid any foreign taxes on the dividends - enter 'foreign tax credit' in the search box and then click the 'jump to' button. Follow the instructions.
I am not sure what you mean by the steps did not work.
