I was not ready to file my state tax, but when I put my credit card info in, I was  charged for both! It did not give me the option to check, it just automatically charged!  I need to have the state removed and credited.  The website is misleading.

This is mainly a user community forum, so nothing account-specific can be handled here. Request for refunds should be directed  to TT Support. https://turbotax.intuit.com/support/contact/  use the term “billing issues” in the question box, not "Refund" or it will just give you the IRS phone number to check your refund status.

My account was charged for filing of my taxes, but I didn't finish them and didn't want my state filed.  How can I see if anything has been completed for me?

E-filing a tax return you have to click on a large orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".  If you did not click on that button in the file section of the program then nothing has been filed.
