My mortgage company is asking for a copy of my 2020 and 2021 tax returns. How do I download and send to them?

  You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

 

Start a 2022 return online and enter some personal information  so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

Just to confirm... I have to print out each return and scan it? There is no way to download and send them a file or other digital solution? Thanks. Greg

It is not secure to email a tax return.   It would be safer to take it to  them in person or send the paper copy by certified mail.

You will download a PDF copy ... what you do with it is up to you however emailing an unprotected file is not wise.  Maybe the mortgage company has a secure portal you can upload it to ... ask them.
