Is there a way to preview the tax forms before printing and paying? I like to make sure that the numbers are all in their correct places on the forms. Thanks.

You can see your Form 1040, but not the other forms.  Online TT does not have forms mode--that is a feature of only desktop software.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

Hello -

Thank you for your help.

Quick follow up question:  once I pay, presumably I can then print preview all of my forms, correct?

At that point, can I then make any changes if needed - and if so, how would I go about doing that?

Thank you again.

Hello -

This will be the first time that I will be filing electronically with Turbo Tax.

Will I get confirmation numbers for both Federal and State right away?

At that point also I should be able to print out a full copy of my Federal and State for my records?

Thank you.

@Randy21

Did you e-file?  Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”

Note: If it says “Ready to Mail” or “Printed” that means YOU have to mail it yourself.  TurboTax does not mail your tax return for you.
