I can't get my TT2019 to pull in my info for my business from prior year's tax info. I have used TT for years, and every year when I do my return it pulls in all in

I have obviously filed for an extension, and when I'm going through the business section of TT, it isn't pulling in all my info on my business from past years returns (I've used TT for many many years, and it's always pulled in this info from past returns).  Why isn't it getting all this info from previous return(s)?

You have to perform the transfer from 2018 to the 2019 at the very beginning--before you enter ANY other data in to the 2019 software or else it is too late to transfer it.

Are you using the Online version? You can only transfer from 2018 at the very beginning before you start so you would have to clear your whole 2019 return and start over. Are you in the same account as 2018? It's common to end up with multiple online accounts. Check you 2018 schedule C, you might have marked schedule C as FINAL in 2018 so it didn't transfer.

@bartoncarrie70 TurboTax and the IRS keep returns for severn years.  After that they are gone.

You have to access your own account(s) and your own returns to print them.  No one can do that for you.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records.  That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
