you can select e-file for federal and mail for the state. that way only the federal is submitted. later you can complete the state and as long as the federal was successfully e-filed you can e-file the state. select mail for federal at that time. .
The 2022 tax return, using the online editions, can only be printed after you have paid for the online account or the federal tax return has bee e-filed and accepted by the IRS.
To pay the TurboTax online account fees by credit card, without completing the 2022 return at this time, click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. On the next page, to pay by credit card, click Pay Now. The next screen will show a review of your Fees, click on Continue.
