Only you would know when you printed, signed, dated and mailed the 2019 federal tax return to the IRS.

TurboTax would have no knowledge about a mailed tax return.

Did you think TurboTax mailed your tax return? TurboTax does not mail your return for you. You have to print it, sign it in ink, and mail it yourself. If you did not do that, and did not e-file, then your tax return was not filed. You can still do that---but do not expect quick results. The IRS is backlogged and mailed returns are taking a long time to be processed. Nothing about a mailed 2019 return will show up now on the IRS refund site, so make sure you use a mailing service to track it or you will be wondering for months if the IRS even received it

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
