How do I get started with TurboTax Online Do It Yourself purchased directly from Intuit?
If you paid for TurboTax Online and still need to activate your license, here’s what to know before you get started on your taxes:
You can find your 16-character activation code in your Intuit Account under Products & billing.
Your activation code is unique to you and the product you purchased. You can only use one TurboTax Online code per tax year for each Intuit Account.
If an activation code has already been used on your account and you try to enter a new one, you’ll receive an error message.
How do I activate my product?
Sign in to your Intuit Account and go to Products & billing.
Select the TurboTax Online product you purchased.
Copy or write down your license number.
Select Activate online. This will take you to TurboTax.com/activate.
Select I have an account or Create an account, depending on your situation.
We'll help you sign in to or create your Intuit Account.
On the Welcome to TurboTax--let's get started screen, enter your activation code under 2. Activate your purchase.
Select Continue.
Select Finish activation.
Select Start my taxes.
