Why do my city taxes say do not file when I try to print them to mail them in, even though Turbo Tax says all my taxes are complete?

They say "do not file" on them when I try to print.  What should I do? I need to file my city taxes...

Ps. Lansing, MI is a listed city for Turbo Tax, and my app filled in the form when I did my taxes. However, when I try to print them, they say do not file/form not complete, only on my city forms. Can someone please help? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately the link provided isn't at all helpful. Both my state and federal returns have been accepted and I even received my refunds. I received notification from TurboTax that the local forms had been finalized and were available.

But if I go to turbotax online and try to print my local tax forms they still have DO NOT FILE plastered all over them. How do we fix this?

Here's an article with a list of cities that you can print and mail returns through TurboTax. If your city isn't on the list, you will need to go on your state's Department of Revenue website to find the form.

Please see below.

Which city tax returns can I do in the TurboTax state program?

Lansing, MI is listed, and Turbo Tax filled in the forms. That's why I don't understand. Last year it worked fine...

Hello, I am having this same issue this year for Grand Rapids, Mi. Have you been able to find a solution?

Thank you!

Unfortunately, no. I ended up mailing them just like that, and thankfully they still processed them.

I have the same issue with Lansing taxes. This is the first year where I have had this printed al over just the city tax page. I guess I will send them as is. Weird.

My State and Federal returns have both been accepted but my return for the City of Lansing still says "Form not final, do not file". This is the first year that I have ever had an issue with this.

@mt1231, in some cases, clicking the Download all forms and worksheets link (instead of Download/print return) in your 2020 Tax Timeline will give you clean printouts without the watermark. Please let us know if this helps.

I have gone through all of the download links in my account on turbotax online and all of them have the same DO NOT FILE printed on the local return pages. There appears to be no way to get these forms without that watermark.
