Turbotax 2017 Deluxe Cannot transmit return

I have finished my return and am attempting to file the federal return electronically.  When I select the Transmit return button I get an error message stating that an update is available and must be installed before filing.  When I attempt to update I get a message stating that I am up to date.   I have tried the following without success:

  • Restart TurboTax
  • Restart my browser (Chrome)
  • Clear all cookies
  • Switch browsers to MS Edge

Does anyone know how to get around this problem?

This got solved.  TurboTax support responded by email with contact information and an issue number.   The problem was resolved after a manual update was made.  The manual update for 2017 deluxe was  https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901192-manually-update-turbotax-for-windows-software-basic-deluxe-premier-home-business  

 

The tax form transmitted successfully after the new install.
