transmit return with "Duplicate Socail Security Number: Atax return with the same SSN has already been submitted"

But, Check E-file Sattus, it still shows "You Haven't E-Fileted a Tax Return Yet". I did not file tax in another way, also I did not E-file until today paid CA E-file online, and tried file both Federal and CA tax together.

I use Turbotax for Windows on Win10.

I also recevied Email that I paid $24.99 for the state E-file the Order number: TTDCDLA139548839

Please advise what I should do?

Did you submit your information through one of the non-filer applications in order to get your stimulus payment?  There are non-filer options either through TurboTax or the IRS.

If so, when using the non-filer system, your information is processed by the IRS as an original filed return.

If not, then you may have a more serious identity theft issue to address.

See the following TurboTax articles for some additional advice about your situation:

Reject R0000-902-01:  Taxpayer TIN must not be the same as a previously accepted return

What to do if you suspect tax-related identity theft

Hello AnnetteB,

So if the tax filing transmission did not happen, can we presume the following:

1) Tax due IRS via direct debit payment will not occur,

2) State Tax refund from CA will also not occur, and

3) the $24.99 credit card charge for state return transmission will be reversed?

Many thanks for your reply

#1 yes.  Right nothing got sent

#2 yes your return was not filed

#3 no you have to ask for a refund.  Use the word Billing Issue not Refund when you contact them.
