Transmission Failed: FAILED_VALIDATION

Several people are posting this exact issue and none of the answers given work to resolve it. I can't even find where the "online" menu is to check for updates. I have cleared my cache, closed out of Turbo Tax and reopened. Still getting this error. If I need to file by mail, I want my state filing fee refunded.

If you're using TurboTax Desktop, the ONLINE link is at the top of the page, in the top menu bar, starting with FILE. 

 

Here's how to do a Manual Update.

 

Since everyone's computer/system are different, some things work for some users and other things work for others.

 

A transmission error could mean that data is not traveling back and forth properly.  Often, it's anti-virus programs blocking smooth transmission.
