NYS Dept. Taxation and Finance: The cost of tax preparation software always includes the e-filing service; New York State law prohibits additional charges. ?

The added charge of $19.99 to Efile NYS income tax forms for a NYS resident, who is using Turbo Tax Premier violates the law .  NYS Dept of taxation and Finance expressly prohibits the additional charge for purchasers of tax preparation software.

There is not an e-file charge for a New York state income tax return when using the desktop editions of TurboTax.

There is not an e-file charge for a New York state income tax return when using the desktop editions of TurboTax.
