My turbotax program will not open the state income section. it states I need a state product confirmation number. when I call the automatic program hangs up.

Call your state department of revenue directly. You can usually find the number on the department's website.

I need a state confirmation number , so can finish the state taxes

Manually Update TurboTax for Windows Software (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business)

If that does not work, please see this link for assistance with the program asking for a confirmation number.
