My 2022 return is not on my account. I made sure to sign in with the email address I used when filing last year.

Suggestions? I've already looked under 'tax home' and 'documents' and there are no documents under either

An email used for notification purposes is not necessarily the same as an account's User ID.  The User can be an email address, part of an email address, or anything else.  But the following may explain your problem:

 

I suspect you didn't dive deep enough into the current account you tried.   I think you didn't proceed far enough.  If you haven't yet started a 2023 online return in that account, then before you can find the 2022 returns in the account, you have to answer a few preliminary questions as though you are starting a 2023 return.   After you get past a few screens, the left menu column will change.   When you have a full left menu, then click on TAX HOME.   Then scroll way down the Tax Home screen to "Your Tax Returns & Documents" and expand that section.   Choose 2022.
