Locked out from return, UPDATER Error 1603. SuperPatch didn't work.

Purchased & downloaded TBT from Amazon. It worked fine for a week - I had no problem getting the initial Fed Update at the start of each session.  But then suddenly got "A fatal error occurred during installation. Microsoft Installer Error 1603."  As suggested, I downloaded the Perrel SuperPatch file and confirmed the "Product SuperPatch has been successfully applied."  But after numerous tries, I still get that original "fatal error" message, and could not access the return to work on it further. 

I understand I may next need to uninstall the TBT file that I've been working on, and then re-download a new copy of the TBT Deluxe. But in doing so, even if that second copy would indeed work, would  I have to lose all the work I have put into return earlier?!

Same issues. I uninstalled TT2021,and downloaded a second time with the firewall off. Opened as ADMIN for the reinstall and everything worked fine. Don't forget to turn the firewall back on after the reinstall and first update. Hope that helps.

locked out of my return, was done ready to e-file asked to put updates thats when there was an error message. Cannot return to my work.
