Using TurboTax Business 2019 desktop app for Windows. Last year I used the 2018 version. When I transfer my 2018 LLC partnership it dropped my partner from my business information, only shows one partner with 50 percent ownership. I have tried starting the transfer three times but the same thing happens every time. Additionally, I have a different LLC partnership and the business information transfer worked fine for that one! Any tips would be appreciated or else I'll just have to start with a new 2019 return from scratch.
(I can't just add my partner back because when I try, Turbotax thinks the ownership has changed.)
You might try reviewing your 2018 return carefully with respect to the information for the "dropped" member; it could be that the member was somehow shown as having disposed of his/her interest or otherwise left the LLC.
Beyond that, you might want to contact Support (link below) during regular business hours for troubleshooting this issue.

Appears (not alone) I have encountered that same issue (one partner). In my case the partner's (50/50) information has not transferred from 2018 - 2019 (Widows).
Any tips (before March 15,2020)would be appreciated or else I'll just have to start with a new 2019 return from scratch.

Do you still have access to the 2018 version of TurboTax Business?
If so, you should be able to open your 2018 Form 1065 in the program and check (thoroughly) for any anomalies.
Even if there is nothing that appears to be out of the ordinary in terms of the partner/member information, you could save the file (use a different filename) and then try transferring the newly saved file into the 2019 version.
Using TurboTax Business. When I transfer the information from the 2018 file, none of the four members of the LLC appear in the "Partner?Member Information" area...or in any form. The financial information does seem to transfer. Have tried to force member information into program but then treats members as "new members" . Have tried saving 2018 file with different name and that didn't work. Went back to 2018 program and imported 2017 file and it does import the members correctly...so information in 2018 file should be correct. Was told this was a known issue, but two updates have not addressed the problem.

It is, indeed, a known issue in the sense that it has occurred in several instances, but the developers need to track it down because they, on their own, have not been able to reproduce the issue (I have tried a number of test transfers and have yet to experience this anomaly).
Would be happy to send my 2018 to Intuit TurboTax experts for them to try it.
@Robert Cowan I can have a Moderator get in touch with you for that purpose.
Please let me know if you are willing to send some screenshots and, possibly, a sanitized copy of your return.
Can surely send screen shots...not sure what a sanitized version of return means.
I am having the same problem. Don't know what to do. When I call the customer service about the issue the say they are working on resolving the issue.
I have the same problem importing into 2019 from 2018 for my S Corp. it brings in only one of nine shareholders. There is nothing wrong with last year’s data. No one at support has had a clue. They send me links for importing errors unrelated to my problem, then close the case.
@Leslie5280 I do not think this is an issue Support can ameliorate in most instances. The developers are aware of the issue and are, quite obviously, working to resolve it.
For my case I was able to work around the problem by not importing last years file and entering data like it was the first year of using the program. Tedious...but it worked for our simple return situation.
That is unacceptable. This must be affecting so many business users.
What does "quite obviously" mean? Do you work for TT? It is a little over a month for some returns to be due. The suggestion to treat like a brand-new return is unacceptable. How could this not have been tested before tax season? What is the ETA? Why doesn't anyone respond with specifics, information?

The issue has been reported to the developers, they are aware and working on rectifying the issue. The "quite obviously" part is just a reference to the fact that of course they want to fix any bugs or other anomalies in their software, as do all software developers.
It's now March 10 and the newest update to TurboTax Business still is not working correctly to transfer last years LLC information into this years program. When I do the transfer the LLC partners names and info is blank! Note: this was not an issue in 2018 when I transferred 2017 data!

Have you checked your 2018 return in the 2018 version of TurboTax Business? Issues with some 2018 returns have been found which, in turn, create issues with the transfer from 2018 to 2019.
Not sure what to check. When I run 2018 version and bring up 2018 file everything looks OK. The LLC partners are all listed. When I bring up the old 2017 data file with the 2018 program version, like I'm starting a new filing, it imports the LLC members info just fine. It's only when I try to import the 2018 data file into the 2019 version that the LLC members do not show up!! What else should I do to check the 2018 file?
I'm having the same problem. One member is there and the other one isn't on the import. HELP! It's now March 14th. I would have thought this would have been corrected by now.
Tech support (about 4 hours and multiple escalations) were unable to resolve problem.....they know it's a problem but have no fix. Had to create a new return for 2019. Have used product since 2016 without this issue.

I gave up. Created my sub-S return by entering 2019.
Don't bother suggesting this. Of course we did. We used 2018. I actually re-installed 2018 to do just that. It has been two months since this problem was reported. Silence from Intuit, calling gets a round of people who may/may not know there is a problem.
