Is there a way to dispute a charge? I realized that when I filed my return I paid for self-employment (I'm not) when I thought I had a higher rate for getting help.

I paid $120 for a self-employment fee and then $50 for each state. Is there a way to dispute a charge? I'm assuming the fee for federal should have been $60. I was self-employed in 2019, and I wonder if that carried over even after I removed those forms.

For questions regarding payments and refunds you need to speak with Customer Service.  In this public forum we don't have access to issue refunds or adjust billing.

I was charged for live self employed. This does not relate to me at all. I have attempted to get a refund and they keep denying it. This charge is erroneous and i need to get my $199 + tax placed back into my account. I can't understand why this is so hard to do. I have been with turbo tax for many years and this is very disappointing to have to get a charge that was processed in error. I need to know who I need to speak with to get this resolved. I was supposed to only pay $54 + tax. Please Help

Hi,

I was charged a state e-file fee but they told me I cannot go e-file. Can I get refund since I finally chose to mail.

Thanks!

Even though l was not self employed for 2021 filed tax TurboTax charged me $199.00 Live Self-Employed price for filing a 1040-SR form. TurboTax carried over from 2020 the Self-Employed and applied it to 2021. I put in the Self-Employed  income box “None”. Shouldn’t that be a tip off that was not a Self-Employed tax return?

Since you have already paid, please feel free to contact Customer Support so they can assist you. If you inquire about a refund, you will want to use the keywords billing issues when you call so you get to the right person.
