I was charged in November 2021 automatically and now turbo tax is trying to charge me again as file my 2021 taxes. Why?

How do I get this straightened out so I am not being overcharged

Yikes.  Sounds like you paid for the Desktop Advantage program last November.  But now you are using the ONLINE version.  You need to switch to your Desktop program.  Did you get it installed?  Better sign in to your Advantage account and download it and install it.  Then you can move your online return to your program.

First download the .tax file from the Online version,

Then see, How to Switch to Desktop,

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had.  So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - New)

Then you just OPEN the .tax2021 file, go up to File-Open.  You don't import or transfer it.

What exactly were you charged for last November, and for what  cy year's tax return?  TurboTax software, e-filing, audit defense, etc.  And what were you charged for now related to filing your 2021 return?  Knowing these specifics alone may answer your question for you.  If that does not answer your question, phone Turbo Tax Support at 800-446-8848.  They can probably help you understand why they have charged you both times.
