I received an e-mail from TaxAudit but I did not sign up for that?

Audit Defense is included in the purchase of MAX benefits. If you purchased MAX, you will receive an email from TaxAudit.com. We've teamed up with TaxAudit.com to offer this service so you can be confident that everything will be handled on your behalf in the unlikely event of an audit.

 

You can log into your account and view your order details/fees to see the price of MAX. MAX is an optional add-on benefit, so you would have had to add it to your order. For additional information, see What is MAX?

 

Use these steps to see a breakdown of your TurboTax charges: 

• While in TurboTax, click Tax Home to the left
• Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents section
• Click View order details there
• It should show ordered items there with total price

Another way to see a breakdown of your fees is to:

• Log in and click Tax Home
• Scroll down to Your tax returns & documents section
• Click Add a state and once inside return click Tax Tools to the left
• Then choose Tools and click My Fees in the pop up window
• That shows your TurboTax Fees as well

Or if you are in California and choose to have the fees deducted from your refund you are signed up for Audit Defense too as part of the Premium Services.

Thank you for your answer! I also saw that the TaxAudit is apparently included in the benefits of the Turbo PLUS I signed up for.
