If you're using TurboTax Online:

  1. Start by signing in to your account (if you aren't already signed in).
  1. Once you're in, select

in the upper-right corner of your screen.

  1. Now select Contact Us at the bottom of the next screen.
  2. Enter your question and then select Let's talk.
  3. Now choose between:
  4. Posting your question to our community of experts (Post a question); or
  5. Talking one-on-one with a live TurboTax Expert, CPA, or Enrolled Agent (Talk to a specialist) (requires the PLUS add-on if using Free Edition).

If you're using the TurboTax CD/Download software or can't sign into your TurboTax account:

  1. Go here to contact us.
  1. Ask your question, select Continue, and follow our onscreen instructions.

We're open M–F from 5:00am to 5:00pm Pacific.

Why does my fed tax refund decrease when I select yes for "have you received a stimulus check".

Stimulus check is not taxable, and should not affect my income/refund

It shouldn't decrease because as you mention, the stimulus check is not taxable. Do you think you may have said no previously and then changed your answer?

How much did your refund change and how many are in your family. Tell me if you have a spouse and the number of children you have.

You will have to contact your bank to find out if your refund has been deposited (or your payment processed) - Turbotax does not have access to that information.

The IRS is not able to give you an exact date for receiving your refund. They can only give you the "expected" amount of time it takes for them to process it, but nothing more.

Everything the IRS has to say about refunds is at Tax Season Refund Frequently Asked Questions. If you read this carefully, you will see they are not making any promises.

The IRS Where’s My Refund? site is still the best first place to go for information.

If you are referring to the 2019 AGI for e-filing, read the following:

There are three ways you can use to locate your AGI:

If you have your last year's tax return, read here: Find your AGI

If you used TurboTax online to file, you can access your account here Login and download a copy of your prior year’s 1040 tax return to find your AGI.  Click here for instructions: Prior year's return

If you do not have a copy of the tax forms, you may order a transcript from the IRS.  Click here Get  Transcript and select  "Get Transcript Online "  or request a full copy of your past year's tax return.  Click here: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-4506

If remain being rejected, I will suggest you to print out your tax forms and paper file to the IRS.  To see explanations, click here:

Correct AGI got rejected
