I am at the first page where it asks how I'm filing and what my zip code is. What do I put, my present code or my permanent code?
Technically, your personal information and address on the tax return, should be where you live now. However, that's so that you can get mail from the IRS if they ever contact you, so put the best address for that purpose. Sounds like that could be your permanent address.
