When I enter my TD Ameritrade document ID so to import my stock transactions to the turbo tax. I get the following info: Please enter the 11-character Document ID without spaces from your Form 1099. There are no spaces being used. I called and spoke with someone at turbo tax. And they couldn't tell me why this problem is happening. Are there others with this same problem? And is there a way to fix this problem?

TD Ameritrade is included in the list of names. The problem is that when I enter my Document ID in the box. It indicates the following message: "Please enter the 11-character document ID without spaces from your form 1099. There are no spaces showing when I enter this info. I called two different times . Each a different person had no solution to the problem. There are others faced with the same problem. So I'm not the 1st to post the same question.
If it is a specific character from TD Ameritrade, you will need to reach out to them to get access to the specific 11-digit number. @anthony340
Are you using a VPN? I received a different message saying tax info was not available (don't have the exact verbiage). If using a VPN, try disconnecting. If that doesn't work, I have to restart the computer, turn off VPN, launch Turbo Tax, then try import again. This did the trick and I imported docs successfully.
Thank you for providing the way it worked for you, as this may help the community. @peqnorth
I get the error "1099 not available for this tax year". All the TD Ameritrade information has been on their web site for a long time. Could Intuit follow up with this data import issue?

Yes THIS IS A VERY BIG PROBLEM. I have pages of trades,. Can someone from support check on why it doesn't work from TD Ameritrade. In your case, did you get the same error message?
I may ask for a refund. Maybe the import works for another tax software.
And no, your the standard support answers DO NOT HELP!! This is a bug in your system or data.
Are there any alternatives? Can I download a file from TD Ameritrade and then upload it to TT desktop premier?
In a Reddit post someone said Document ID is case sensitive. This fixed the issue

I am having same problem not able to import 1099 B from TD Ameritade to turbotax I spoke to customer service they have no clue TD Ameritade shows up in Turbotax
I agree this is SUPER annoying and the canned answers are even more annoying!
I just got this working by 1) changing my default browser to Chrome (was previously Edge), and 2) using Caps lock to ensure all letters were in caps
Found same. HOWEVER WHEN I ENTERED THE DOCUMENT ID IN ALL CAPS, IT SOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR ME. I sincerely hope this helps others, since turbo tax seems freaking clueless.
Same problem for 2024 tax season with TT deluxe.
Case sensitive worked for me. The letters in the document ID number must be caps.
I'm having the exact same problem. After several attempts, I finally got to the download section. I received a message that information is not available to download at this time and that it may be available in early March.
