I can't finish my return on this site because it won't let me enter my wages. ?????? What do I need to do. It won't let me start over.

If you are trying to enter W2 wage information please try the steps below:


    1.Choose Federal Taxes Tab ( Personal Tab and Personal Income In Home and Business).
    2.Select Wages and Income.
    3.Select I'll choose what I work on.
    4.Under Wages and Salaries W2 select Start/Update.
    5.You will now be at the interview process for entering your W2.

If you are entering 1099 income, please take a look at the link below:

Also to clear and start over your return you may follow the steps in the following link:

When I click on the UPDATE button for the W2 I get a completely blank screen.    I'm using Deluxe on my personal laptop.  I have restarted the program and my laptop several times.  Please help

I had the same issue and got it resolved! I had to manually check for windows updates and restart with the newest updates. For some reason my PC wasn't updating even though I thought it was. This solved it which is strange because all other screens worked for me.

I'm using TurboTax Home & Business 2021.  When I begin the Personal Income section, I'm unable to enter W-2 wages.  I've tried walking through everything, selecting the topics I want to work on, electronically importing W-2's, and manually entering them.  Each time the screen goes blank.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yep! I processed all windows updates and it fixed the problem.

I am having the same issue. When I check for updates I get the message your software is up to date.

Answering my own post. Found another post that said running as an administrator would fix the problem. And it worked.

 

Right click the icon and select run as administrator.

Ask continue return

Than displays messages of who's w2 to work on.

I am having the same issue. The update button is grayed out. Won't let me enter w-2 wages.

Right click which icon???????

mlober60 is referring to the TurboTax icon, which is a red circle with a white check mark inside. You will only see that if you are using TurboTax Desktop from a disc or download. 

 

If you are working in TurboTax online, there will not be an icon. 

 

To add a W-2 form:

  1. Select Federal on the left side menu.
  2. Select Wages and Income.
  3. Click Edit to the right of Job (W2).
  4. Enter you W-2 on the next few screens.
  5. If you have more than one W2, click Add another W-2 at the bottom of the screen Your W-2 info so far.
