I am using Turbo Tax Home & Business 2022 to do my tax and I could not import my investment data from Merrill Lynch brokerage because it is not listed. This is bad. I saw this brokerage was listed in the Turbo Tax software every year; but not this year. I need help.
Merrill Lynch has dropped Lynch from its name. It's now just called Merrill. In the list of financial institutions, select Merrill - Merrill Edge and see if you are able to import your investment data.
My bad, some how I still couldn't see it in the list of brokers, so I went ahead to delete the tax file and recreated a new tax file, then I saw Merrill in the list again.
Glad to hear you were able to find it; thanks for the update.
Yeah, it is kind of queer and I noticed that the list of brokers was way shorter than the correct list and it only contained like 10 brokers. The correct list contained at least 100 brokers. Any way I have to create a fresh tax file again in order to import investment data from Merrill Lynch. It is better than inputting investment data manually, which is a nightmare.
I could import from Merrill edge for my 1099-int and 1099-div, but not import 1099-B. all other brokerage import I have to go through intuit, but Merrill can import directly from turbotax. but did not have number in 1099-b, also in the invest income have 'untitle' brokerage and wrong gain/loss. thanks for your post,
Did you still need assistance with importing your 1099-B or were you able to figure it out?
When you type Merr only one Merrill shows up, I’ve been trying to import my 1099-B since it was available to download from the Merrill site with no luck. “ Look like there’s a technical issue” is the first message I get, followed by “ there was an error importing from this financial institution” and finally “ Try again in a few hours or enter your info in a different way (100)”
Please help

I just got off the phone with 2 different techs. Still no resolution after confirming updates (MS and TT), clearing cache, restarting. What is going on with TT and Merrill which is a listed broker. I only see 9 brokerage options when in my Premier I see dozens!!!
This has NOT worked for me!!! ALTERNATIVES? I have a case number.
Try typing in 'Merrill' in the search area, then double-click on Merrill in the Search Results. You should get to the Sign In page. Some brokers now require you to enable 'third party access' in your account. Make sure all anti-virus programs are disabled, and you're doing your TurboTax stuff on your C drive. Have you had any issues elsewhere in the program?

I am using the Business version of TT. Your screen shot showing all the brokerage firms dos not appear when I try to import income Form 1099 transaction data. There is only a drop down menu with 9 brokerage firms listed...Merrill not being one. Another option is to select that my brokerage firm is not showing (see first screen shot). I have accounts at two brokerage firms that are listed and when I select one of them all I can get to is a manual input screen where I have to manually input for each transcription the description, acquisition date, date of sale, price cost (1a-1g) I have 7 pages of actions for 3 different Merrill accounts. I am not able to import the information from my brokerage account. I have cleared chache, tried multiple browsers, disabled MS Defender virus protection, turned off my vpn, created multiple different tax return files to no avail. This is a relatively simple trust return, Form 1041, with a lot of individual transactions in the brokerage account. Not worth having to input each transaction. Any other suggestions?
I also have the Premier version for Form 1040 and it will import and access my brokerage information.
If you can't import, you have the option to summarize by category, entering one line for each. Here's more info on How to Enter a Summary in Lieu of Individual Transactions.
