You do not manually add Form 4562. TurboTax will generate the form if necessary.

You will not have Form 4562 in your tax return package unless you have any of the following:

  • Depreciation for property placed in service during the  tax year.
  • A section 179 expense deduction (which may include a carryover from a previous year).
  • Depreciation on any vehicle or other listed property (regardless of when it was placed in service).
  • A deduction for any vehicle reported on a form other than Schedule C (Form 1040), Profit or Loss From Business.
  • Any depreciation on a corporate income tax return (other than Form 1120-S).
  • Amortization of costs that begins during the tax year.

When I go to Sched C depreciation, it asks several questions, but does not allow me to enter any information

If you have Business Assets to depreciate, enter them in the Business Assets section in TurboTax.

Type 'Schedule C' in the Search area, then 'Jump to schedule c'.

If you have not set up your Business yet, you are asked several questions to set up your Business Profile.

There are then separate sections to enter Business Income, Business Expenses, and Business Assets.  The first year that you set up an asset, you are presented with several options for depreciation/expense.

Here's more info on Depreciation of Business Assets.
