For the purpose of signing your electronic return, you can reuse your Self-Select PIN from last year or create a new one to use, it doesn’t matter which option you choose.
You create your own Self-Select PIN. You do not register the PIN with the IRS before filing or need to contact the IRS to get it. The five-digit PIN can be any five digits except all zeros.
The PIN number was a random number that you chose last year and is not kept in our system. Only you have access to that number. The IRS is asking for your last year's Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) in lieu of that PIN number.
You can use last year's AGI. The original AGI is the amount from your prior year originally filed return as accepted by IRS. The amount can be located on:
Do not enter a corrected amount or the amount from an amended tax return.
You can retrieve your filing PIN here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Electronic-Filing-PIN-Request
How do I find last year’s AGI?

If you don't remember your 5 digit PINa, you do have another option moving forward. The Self-Select PIN is a random 5-digit number that you enter as your electronic signature when e-filing your return. You can reuse your Self-Select PIN from last year or enter your AGI from last year's tax return.
For identification purposes, you need to enter either last year’s Self-Select PIN or your AGI. The IRS requires your AGI for identity verification. Please read the TurboTax Help link, listed below, to learn how to locate your AGI.
You won't be able to find your 5 digit code in TurboTax as we don't store it. If you don't remember it you can use your AGI instead. Please see this TurboTax FAQ to find your AGI: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/how-do-i-find-last-year-s-agi/00/25947

How do I get my last year 5 pin to do my taxes from the irs
Your self-select PIN from 2018 is a personal number that is not kept in our system. Only you would have access to this number. To verify your identity for e-filing, you’ll need to use last year’s adjusted gross income (AGI).
Note: The e-filing PIN isn’t the same thing as the Self Select PIN or the IP PIN.

If you filed with turbo tax before you can download your previous tax return from 2018 and find your pin. I found mine, it was on page 18. I don’t know why none of these techs responding know this. You do have to use the same pin. Mine kept getting rejected from the IRS until I found my previous pin and used it. Hope this was helpful.
Please can you tell me how I can fill out the non filers form for the irs with out my Ip pin
I got a new 5 digit pin today and forgot it how can I retrieve it
