How do I download a 2nd non-residential state? (I'm using a CD and my residential state is already downloaded.)

Download TurboTax State (Windows)

Download your state program right from your TurboTax software:

  1. Open your return in TurboTax.
  2. From the Online menu, choose Download State (you'll be prompted to save).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install your state.
  4. Repeat these instructions for additional state programs.

After you've completed and reviewed your federal tax return, we'll take you to your state return.

This information is incorrect. The CD/Desktop software does not work for purchasing additional state. It is a terrible user experience, requires an online operator to complete. It is a total fail on the of Intuit and TurboTax.

The lay screen does not advance to review and submit payment.

Agree.  Have decided it is easier to do some of the forms by hand.  They think by helping every idiot, they will solve the problems.  Haha.
