How come I can't download my tax file for 2011 and 2010? It's asking me to pay first.

It is probably because you used the Free Edition. In order to gain access to your prior year tax returns, you would need to have upgraded to the Free Edition with Plus, Deluxe, Premier, or Self-Employed product. Please see article below:

Wrong! I used the Deluxe edition and paid for it.

Are you log into the same account that used for 2010 and 2011? If you are not logged into that same account, then you will not have access to those prior year returns had you sign in using a different account with no prior year access. If you have forgotten your login credentials, please see the TurboTax FAQ on how to recover your account: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899319-account-recovery-request-for-your-turbotax-account

No offense, but I'm not stupid, it's obvious I have to be logged into the same account.

Since our representatives on the AnswerXchange platform do not have access to customers accounts, then you would need to call our customer support team to further assist you with this issue. Please visit the TurboTax phone page:https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number
