Hi, I can't find my original AGI, only my amended one that is making it rejected.

Here are two places you can try to find you 2019 Adjusted Gross Income figure:

  1. If you filed your 2019 taxes with TurboTax, sign in and go down to Your tax returns & documents. Select View adjusted gross income (AGI).
  2. If you're still  having trouble locating your 2019 return, the second-best place to get your AGI is from the IRS. You can get a free transcript immediately, on the IRS Get Transcript site. You can also purchase a full copy of your 2019 return. Both versions will include your AGI.

The adjusted gross income (AGI) figure is your total taxable income, such as your W2 income, minus adjustments to income, such as the student loan interest deduction.

  • -The IRS uses your prior year AGI to validate your e-filed tax return.

Hi, I'm having the same issue. When I access my tax returns and documents I'm not given an option to "view adjust gross income (agi)" - Can you assist me with this, please?

The IRS requires your 2019 AGI to verify your identity for e-filing. If you're paper-filing your return, you won't need your AGI because those are manually processed.

Please follow the instructions here on locating your AGI. See the information here for steps to correct your AGI on your tax return.
